As I sit here at the ridiculous hour of 01:50 just having arrived home I try to analyse how I ended up on this mad road I am currently travelling; I want to think of some really clever analogy as to how I got here, but all it ever comes back to are 5 people who fill my life with fun and sunshine and music that just makes me smile every time I hear it. It is no secret that I love live music ask my poor suffering workmates who try to ignore my continous droning on, or the local radio presenters who hear from me on a daily basis requesting songs that are not even on their playlist to such an extent that they beg me to send them in if only to shut me up I suspect, I just cannot stop myself as I cannot comprehend when people do not understand my passion and why they have not all been infected with this strange virus called Will and The People.
If you want to feel true joy and fun get yourself along to one of their gigs it really is that simple although be warned you will become addicted... I am so lucky that I have found someone as seriously addicted as myself who shares this obsession, although really we should not call it that as this would indicate that we were slightly disturbed which we know is not true , although I supsect the poor suffering fellow passengers on the East Coast Rail may disagree having listened to us over the last few weeks. It is only when we reach the end of our journey that we notice that the coach we are in has been silent the whole way obviously enraptured by our plans and schemes, I truly wonder where we get all our mad plans and insane ideas from and if we could hear ourselves we would maybe agree that we are just everso slighlty nuts... but where else would they get such entertainment for the price of a rail ticket.
This being our last trip to The Water Rats we were a little sad as they had been great fun and now we had to wait a whole 2 weeks until our next fix.. how unfair is that.. or how spoilt are we although to be frank these trips do cost in both time.. effort and money but I can seldom think when I have put my hard earned cash to such good use and got such a great return on my investment.. if I could bottle the happiness this music brings I would be a millionaire... and in answer to you question Mr Rendle... no we have never been bored for one second... every gig feels like the first gig except we know the words... and you guys have to be the least boring people we know.So its thanks to Lis for making me feel sane, the Station Master at Grantham who is going to be in our next WATP spoof video.. but he does not know it yet... the pidgeon on Kings Cross who was going to star in it but got stage fright... and you guys from WATP who made it another great night... oh and brilliant to meet Damon and Jimmy again... that bought back great memories...until the next time
