Will and The People

Where theres a Will theres a way
The last 3 weeks have been manic even by my standards and the gigs seemed to roll into one big music exravaganza with highs and to be honest very few lows other than those caused by non gig related incidents.
I have lost all track of time and geographic location so how bands who are contstantly touring cope I cannot imagine, and what would appear a real rock and rolls lifestyle must at times prove very wearysome.
Its great that over the weeks the musical content of this tour has been exceptional, no suprise from The Script they are a brilliant band who have now grown into their deserved reputation and perform with an air of total confidence but I am sure that in secret they keep pinching themselves that their dreams are starting to come true and the hard work and dedication have paid off, in Gary Go they had a great support act who is sure to have great success with his polished song writing and performing skills.. however it was the opening act who had the most impact with myself, to be honest I had absolutely no idea who Will and The People were but I always am willing to give artists a chance, they have in most cases worked hard to earn the right to be up there on the stage so we at least owe them a few minutes of our time, in this case I suspected after only a few minutes that this band of, I was going to say ragamuffins but that sounds rude, were going to be taking up more than a few minutes of my time in weeks to come, it is no wonder that records companies had been falling over themselves to sign these guys, there unique style makes them totally compelling watching, and the visual mismatch of people is actually one of the reasons I believe they work so well, of course you are going to need a cute guy to front the band, so Will with his cheeky chappy smile and thrown together look is actually very appealling, and throw a very pretty girl into the mix and you have a winner, not forgetting the rest of The People who all add up to this intriging package.
In weeks and months to come I am sure this band is going to exceed all my expectation of them and I am just pleased to be lucky enough to have caught them early on in their career.
